Diary of a bookseller by Shaun Bythell

In Scotland’s forgotten corner there is a bookshop. This is the biogragphy of that bookshop, its' owner and its' staff, and it’s owners' The story of a year in a bookshop, fascinating and funny. Listed at the bottom of each entry is the number of customers and money taken for that day. I would own this book. Even though it is Scotland you can join the “random bookclub” where you get sent a “mystery” book once a month. It may be expensive but sounds worth it. Listen to the podcast on Radio New Zealand, the interview with Kim Hill was fascinating.
